It's been a minute...
Hey Empire Fam, Happy Sunday!
The weather here in Perth today is one word - STUNNING. The sky is clear and blue. Its not too hot or too cold. It really is the perfect day.
It's been a couple of weeks since I've last posted on our blog. I have been a little slack but I've been busy at work which can be so mentally draining, as well as working on my Diploma in Human Resource Management. I am SOOOOO close to finishing; I am just about to start my last unit and then I will be done.
Cam has been busy tinkering away as always. Among working long days at his full-time job, he currently has a couple of custom projects on the go - which he absolutely loves. When they are completed and delivered, we can't wait to feature them here on the blog.
I can't believe it's been almost a year since COVID really took a hold of the world. This time last year I had booked a family photoshoot with our favourite Perth photographer Sabrina Edel to celebrate Cam's 30th and his Oma's 90th. After rescheduling once due to COVID and then twice again due to bad weather and I mean REALLY bad, both times! We finally got to have that shoot last weekend.
The brief by yours truly was neutral tones so that we looked cohesive but not uniform and I must say, everyone looked AHHH-mazing. Early on in the shoot Sabrina was bitten by a couple of ants and I seriously thought she was going to be down and out - I would have been! But, being the incredible professional and photographer she is, she powered through and worked her magic to make us all feel and look incredible - it was such a fun afternoon.
Not only this, but even with her busy schedule she got us our images back so quickly and we couldn't have been more thrilled with the result. If you're in Perth and looking for a family photographer, have a look at Sabrina's work.
Business wise, we are working behind the scenes on a couple of new products. We have been doing loads of product testing at home. It is so important to us that we bring you amazing products and not just mediocre ones. We are hoping to expand not just our homewares range but also our jewellery. Cam also really enjoys making one off pieces, so hopefully this year he can do more of that too. We'd love to know from you, what you'd like to see? No idea is too big or too small.
That's all for today, catch you next week - maybe.
